Arriving the day of a procedure can be intimidating, especially if you are unsure where you are going. Provided below are directions and helpful tips for a smooth arrival to OSE. Follow along with the provided photos to help guide you and your care partner right to the door on the day of surgery.
Directions from US Highway 11 or Edwards Lake Road: follow Medical Park Drive East to the main entrance of UAB St. Vincent’s East Hospital Campus and turn into the main drive. Outpatient Services East is located in Professional Building 52 on the right side of the campus as you travel up the hill. Turn to the right at the first stop sign, doing so will have you driving in front of the 52 building. When you reach the next stop sign turn to the left. Continue up the incline, do not take the first left turn that is Oncology parking, instead continue into the parking lot area nearest 52C as noted in the pictures. This is where your care partner will bring the car for your discharge home. Park in the adjacent parking area closest to 52C. IF you pass the Emergency Room you have gone too far and will need to turn around and come back down the hill to the 52 building parking area. Once parked, entrance into the building at 52 C will put you on the second floor of the building. Walk straight ahead and take the elevators to the 4th floor. Enter the OSE waiting room via the glass door on the left side as you come off the elevators.
